Here is Petrocelli, a stray cat . . .
Mukhang mabait yan at naa-awa si Lui diyan kaya lagi niya pinapakain sa bubong kahit na magkanda-hulog siya para lang gawin ito!
He looks nice and Lui sympathized with his plight so Lui feeds him on the roof often at the risk of falling from the effort of doing so!
Pero nakup mag-ingat ka dyan kay Petrocelli, bayan! Kinagat niya ako noong Pasko!
But watch that Petrocelli, people! He bit me on Christmas day!
Naloka si Lui sa halong takot at galit!
Lui got crazy from mixed fear and anger!
Baka may rabies daw si Petrocelli. Kesyo hindi naman daw mangangaway si Petrocelli kung hindi namin inatake ni Sweepy. . .
Lui got afraid that Petrocelli might have rabies. And Lui said Petrocelli will not fight unless he was attacked by Sweepy and me . . .
Totoo yon. Inatake namin ni Sweepy si Petrocelli kasi saksakan ng inggay sa bubong magdamag! Napuyat kaya ako kaya't noong nakita kong palakad-lakad sa bubong tinalon ko at nahulog at . . . at eto ang masaklap: maliit man siya pero saksakan ng bilis at tapang. Nakagat ako ni Petrocelli agad. Kung hindi dumating si Lui siguro wala na akong kanang tenga ngayon. Ang saklap, kabayan!
It's true. Sweepy and I attacked Petrocelli because he was so noisy all night! I had sleepless nights so when I saw him walking on the roof I jumped at him and he fell . . . and this is the shocking part: he may be small but Petrocelli is quick and strong. He bit me right away! If Lui did not rush right away I would not have a right ear by now. What fate, people!
Pero ginamot ako ni Luchie (takot si Lui maglagay ng gamot sa tenga ko!) at kinabukasan magaling na agad ang tenga ko. Buhay pa naman ako kaya siguro walang rabies ang damuhong pusang iyan! At saka medyo busy akong namamahagi ng regalo sa mga bata sa paligid at makisawsaw sa mga tao sa party namin kaya OK na ulit ako.
But Luchie treated me because Lui is afraid to apply ointment on my ear. The next day my ears are healed. I am still alive so that darn cat might not have rabies hopefully. And I got busy mingling with the guests in our party and giving gifts to the kids so I'm OK now. . .
Iyan ang tuinay na diwa ng Pasko. Ang pagbabahagi ng saya sa mga bata. Ang saya ng pamilya at kainan ng todo. At ang pinaka-importante ay ang pagrespeto sa mga gala. . . Natutunan ko yan ngayong Pasko. . .
But that is the real meaning of Christmas: to share joy with the children. The joy of family, the endless eating, and the most important is to respect the stray and the homeless. . . I learned that this Christmas . . .
Siguro magiging kaibigan ko rin si Petrocelli . . . siguro kung sa bubong lang siya OK na . . . siguro . . .
Maybe I will be friends with Petrocelli . . . maybe if he stays on the roof its OK . . . maybe . . .
