Sabi Sabi . . .

Sayings, translated by Quark

Ang hindi lumingon sa pinanggalingan . . . . . ay may stiff neck. Ahahay, old age!
Those who don't look to the past . . . . have a stiff neck. Ohhhh, old age!

Ang marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan . . . . ay praning.
Those who look to the past . . . . are restless.

Tulad nito:
Hey, do you know the importance of looking where you came from? That is to make sure that nobody is running after you! Just like this:

A restless child (pup) is a gift from heaven.

Kaya't huwag mong aambagan ang anak mo, Sumo. Nakup, pagpasensyahan mo na! At laruin mo naman!
So don't pounce on your pup, Sumo. Oh, bear with him! And do play with him!

Ang amang mabait . . . puro pasakit.
A good father . . . bears all the pain.

Ang hindi magmahal sa sariling wika . .
Those who do not love their language . . . are poor in Pilipino (language). So you just use "taglish" (tagalog-english). The important thing is that you understand each other whatever the language. And those who do not care to understand are worse than a smelly fish. But what is worse than a smelly fish? What else but a smelly human! Oh, Lord, please spare me!

Kaya't matutong mag-unawa. Iyan ang mahalagang wika. Ang wika ng pagkakaintindihan. At kapag nagawa mo iyan, aba, bayani ka nga!
So August is ending, the month for Filipino language. The day of Heroes. And the end of Ramadan for my Muslim countrymen. That is why you learn to be understanding. That is the important language. The language of understanding. And if you can do that, hey, you are a hero!

Pilipino, mabuhay tayo!
Long live the Pilipino!

Pakikipagkamayan

Shaking Hands
translated by Quark

My paw beside my pup Sweepy are like night and day!

Aba, medyo pahiya pa iyan lalapit . . . .
He shyly tries to come near as if wary if he will be allowed to do that or not . . .

And of course its okay and why not? My pup patiently watched and reminded me not to touch my hot spot until it dried up and got healed!

And here's my real caregiver who took care of me and filled me with medicines. Hey Lui, don't forget this: Those who care for the elderly are blessed by the Almighty!

Add Luchie to that list including my pup Sweepy because like me they are already senior and just as grumpy!

Mabuhay ang mga seniors! Hoy, wag kayong tatawa-tawa diyan at TATANDA RIN KAYO!
Love live the seniors! And hey don't laugh because YOU WILL GET OLD TOO!
