Ang Baha

The Floods
translated by Quark

Ang dilim sa paligid ay mistulang lagim . . .
The surrounding darkness is like danger . . .

Ang humahagibis na hangin ay mistulang galit . . . .
The raging winds seem angry . . . as to where or with whom I do not know . . .

But that will soon pass. Just like the cold morning air that will pass through the heat of the afternoon will eventually rest at sunset . . .

Sometimes life is like the wind which you can not seem to fathom, but if you think about it, you can understand everything in this world. The road is not always straight but eventually you will get to where you want to go.

Our country was ravaged by storms but we will rise again . . .
